A Chinese passenger ferry approaches the dock as it completes the short trip across Hong Kong harbour. Photographed by the designer in the early 90's the ferry, The Golden Dragon, is brightly decorated in red and gold with a golden dragon painted on the stern. The ferry features two covered open passenger decks with seating.
Passengers waiting at the dock and other boats in the dark green blue water of the harbor add to the impression of a busy city that depends heavily on transportation across the sea.
